About Rewari District 
It is believed that during Mahabharata period there was an Ahir King named Rewat. He had a daughter, named as Rewati. Thus, he founded a city named after his daughter as ' Rewa wadi ', which later, known as `Rewari'. Rewari became a district of Haryana on 1st November, 1989. It was carved out of Mahendragarh district. Location and Boundaries This district is a part of Gurugram division. It is surrounded by Jhajjar district in the North, Mahendragarh district in the West, Gurugram and Mewat/Nuh districts in the East and Alwar district of Rajasthan in the South. 

Rewari Famous For
Rewari has a variety of industries like brass, metal work, ornamental, shoes (Tilledar Jooti) and automobiles. Various automobile, 8 auto ancillary industries like Harley Davidson, Hero Motor Corp, United Breweries, etc are located in Dharuhera and Bawal industrial areas. The Dharuhera Plant of Hero Moto Corp, is famous for the world's largest production of motor cycles.
