About Bhiwani District 
This district got its name from its headquarters, Bhiwani which was believed to be founded by a Rajput, named Neem Singh after his wife Bhani'. Thus, its old name was Bhanigram', which later changed to Bhiyani, and finally to Bhiwani. Bhiwani city is mentioned in the 'Ain-i-Akbari' and during the Mughal period, it had been a prominent centre of commerce. It became a district of Haryana state on 22nd December, 1972. Before that, it was a tehsil of erstwhile Hisar district. 

Location and Territories
This district is a part of Rohtak division. It surrounded by Hisar district in the North, Rohtak and Charkhi-Dadri districts in the East, Mahendragarh district in the South and Rajasthan state in the West. It is the third highest populous district of Haryana. Dohan river is an important river of this district. 

Bhiwani is Famous For 
It is known as Kashi of Haryana. Important tourist attractions of Bhiwani are ancient sites of Naurangabad, Palace of Dadri, Fort of Loharu, Star Monument, Red Robin, Devsar Dham and so on.
